UoB President receives US embassy delegation

Manama, May 2 (BNA): The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, affirmed the university’s keenness to provide classroom and external activities to benefit from students’ creativity and professional talents. Refine their skills to prepare them for the labor market.

She was speaking while receiving at the University of Bahrain’s headquarters in Sakhir today a delegation from the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain led by Prof. Dr. Brett Lott, Director of the Charleston College of Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing. program.

Dr. Al-Mudhahka praised the cooperation with the US Embassy and the College of Charleston, which has trained a group of University of Bahrain students in creative writing since 2018. She drew attention to a number of programs aimed at exploring students’ talents and developing their creative abilities.

Dr. Lott praised the students’ efforts and commitment to developing their language skills in the literary arts.

The Creative Writing Program is jointly implemented by UoB, represented by the Center for American Studies, and the College of Charleston in Virginia, USA.

The two sides discussed academic and training issues of common interest.
