UoB President receives Microsoft regional director, Bahrain Polytechnic CEO

Manama, March 9 (BNA) The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, received today Sheikh Saif bin Hilal Al-Hasani, General Manager of Microsoft in Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.

The President of the University of Bahrain praised the government’s directives and goals related to digital transformation, as it is one of the best policies adopted by the Kingdom to achieve Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which will support UoB partnerships with various international companies, such as Microsoft, to increase productivity, enhance the level of security and manage technical operations.

Dr. Al-Mudhaki stressed the importance of the fruitful partnership with Microsoft, especially in the use of technologies and professional certificates obtained by University of Bahrain employees during the past years, which contributed to the success of the digital transformation process at the University of Bahrain.

The General Manager of Microsoft Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman highlighted the training programs designed specifically to meet the needs of faculty members and students, to improve their technical skills and develop their capabilities in the areas of information technology and the features that Microsoft provides through Microsoft Teams.

The President of the University of Bahrain also received the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Kiran O’Kahon, with whom she discussed opportunities for joint cooperation, training in professional skills and entrepreneurship, as well as lifelong education, to prepare graduates who are able to participate successfully.
