New York, October 23 (BNA) The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, received the President of the 61st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Sheikha Haya bint Rashid Al Khalifa, who delivered a message from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
Sheikha Haya conveyed to the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations the King’s wishes for more success for the United Nations in its efforts to maintain peace and security in the world.
The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations praised the development witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields, especially with regard to the advancement of women, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Ruwai’i.
