Kiev, May 5 (BNA): President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky received Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani in Kiev today, who conveyed to him the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman. Dr. Al-Zayani affirmed Bahrain’s position calling for an end to the war in Ukraine. He said that His Majesty the King stressed on many occasions the need to end the war and reach a solution to the conflict through peaceful and diplomatic means in order to maintain peace and security in Europe and the world. He expressed Bahrain’s wishes to Ukraine and its people for peace, stability and development.
The Ukrainian President asked Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani to convey his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty the King and his best wishes to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people for further growth and prosperity. His Highness praised the position of His Majesty the King calling for an end to the war in Ukraine, praising the humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom to the Ukrainian people. He also stressed Ukraine’s keenness to expand cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Germany Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Talal Abdul Salam Al-Ansari, and Ambassador of Ukraine to Bahrain residing in Abu Dhabi Dmytro Senek.
