Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Chairman receives Foreign Minister

Kiev, May 5 (BNA): The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, received in Kiev the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, on the occasion of his official visit to Ukraine.

Dr. Al-Zayani expressed his happiness at visiting Ukraine, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation with it to serve common interests. He praised the steady development of bilateral cooperation, stressing Bahrain’s keenness to maintain peace and security in the European continent and the world. He renewed Bahrain’s position calling for an end to the war in Ukraine and the start of direct negotiations to reach a political solution to the crisis. He wished the Ukrainian people peace, security and prosperity.

The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressing that his official visit to Ukraine reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen the bonds of friendship that bind the two countries. He expressed his country’s appreciation for Bahrain’s efforts to promote peace, tolerance and coexistence. He affirmed Ukraine’s interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation, wishing Bahrain further development and prosperity.
