Two Bahraini schools honoured in Kuwait

Manama, Nov. 28 (BNA): Two Bahraini schools won third place in the Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah Scientific Competition (Kuwait Innovation Award 2021-2022). Zenobia Intermediate School for Girls was honored for its “Smart Farm” project, while Al Hidd Secondary School for Girls won for its plastic recycling project. The winning Bahraini schools were honored during the awards ceremony held by the organizers in the State of Kuwait.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak Jumaa, praised the honorable achievement, which he said reflects the ministry’s efforts to promote a culture of innovation, creativity and scientific research in public schools.

He stressed the role of the Center for Gifted Students and the Center for Science and the Environment (Globe), congratulating the principal of Zenobia Intermediate School for Girls, Nisreen Abdel-Ridha Haider, and the principal of Al-Hidd Secondary School for Girls, Basema Faisal Al-Siddiqui, for this honorable achievement.

Dr. Jumaa praised the Al-Saad Foundation for Knowledge and Scientific Research, headed by Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, for organizing this regional competition, which has yielded good results over the past 23 years since its inception.
