Manama, June 8 (BNA) Travel agents said that Turkey, Thailand, Greece and Egypt have emerged as the most attractive international destinations for Bahraini travelers.
“People’s favorite destinations this summer so far are Turkey and Thailand,” said Khaled Al-Zamil, owner of Al-Zamil Travel Agency.
“European countries are also in great demand as summer approaches with new opportunities for exploration.”
Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, showcased new travel opportunities by launching new routes and resuming operations during the summer season to Santorini (June 1 – September 28) and Mykonos (June 2 – September 29) in Greece, Malaga (June 2 – September 29) in Spain, Sharm el-Sheikh and Alexandria in Egypt, and Salalah (June 2 – September 29) in Amman.
However, travelers who need tourist visas have been urged to seek them out without delay to avoid disappointment.
“Booking an appointment for a visa can be the most stressful part for travelers when they are planning their trips,” the online travel agency said.
Travelers are advised to book their appointments in advance. European countries such as France, Germany and Spain are the most in demand while it usually takes 5 to 10 working days for visas to be issued, and appointments may be set later.”
