Tourism sector provides opportunities to young entrepreneurs and start-ups, Minister

Manama, October 23 (BNA) Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sirafi affirmed her keenness to engage young entrepreneurs and start-ups in the travel and tourism industry and support innovative ideas in order to enhance Bahrain’s position as an attractive destination.

The minister’s statements came during her meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahraini branch of the Entrepreneurs Organization, Faryal Abdullah Nass, to discuss joint cooperation.

She stressed the keenness to support innovative ideas for young entrepreneurs, which contributes to diversifying the Bahraini tourism product and launching more innovative tourism initiatives of high quality.

She stressed the importance of entrepreneurs and startups benefiting from the great momentum achieved by the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where the sector’s recovery rate reached 82% compared to the pre-pandemic period.

“The Bahrain International Exhibition Center provides great opportunities for entrepreneurs, innovators and start-up owners in the tourism sector in particular,” she said.

She described the center as an attractive and unique destination in the Middle East, which will provide greater quality opportunities to attract high-quality investments to the Kingdom and create job opportunities for Bahrainis when it opens.

Nass praised the ministry’s initiatives to support the Bahraini branch of the Entrepreneurs Organization in order to achieve an effective partnership, enhance areas of cooperation between the public and private sectors, and support entrepreneurs specialized in tourism activities and its business sectors, small projects and productive families. .
