Kuala Lumpur, October 23 (BNA) The President of the Asian Football Confederation and First Vice President of FIFA Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the King of Malaysia, Sultan Abdullah Ray. Ayat al-Din al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibn Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah al-Musta’in Billah in Astana Negara in the capital of Malaysia.
The Malaysian monarch welcomed Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, extending his greetings to His Majesty the King, wishing him good health and happiness and the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity. His Majesty the King of Malaysia praised the efforts of Sheikh Salman as president of the Asian Football Confederation, and praised the pivotal role of the Continental Federation in supporting Asian football.
The AFC President expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Malaysian monarch for his warm welcome and hospitality, praising his contributions in supporting Asian football over three decades.
He highlighted the AFC’s plans and programs to promote Asian football, and gave an overview of the modern stadium to be built in Putrajaya in close cooperation with FIFA.
