Rome, Jan. 25 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain’s declaration will be highlighted in the Italian capital, Rome, tomorrow, Thursday.
The declaration, which reflects the vision and approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to promote coexistence, peace, tolerance and combat extremism and terrorism in the world, was launched in the United States in September 2017.
“The declaration drafted by His Majesty the King is based on historical foundations about coexistence in Bahrain and the correct religious approach,” said Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, head of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Existence.
He added, “The launch of the declaration in Europe is an important stage in informing the international community of the importance of the document, which reflects the Bahraini model of peaceful coexistence.”
Sheikh Khalid added that His Holiness Pope Francis, during his historic visit to Bahrain in November 2022, praised the declaration as an important document for human rights and dialogue.
“The well-established history of the Kingdom of Bahrain reflects a typical picture of a unique experience that promotes peaceful coexistence and humanity among the various groups of society. Bahrain has always shown tolerance towards different religions on its soil and encouraged people to practice their beliefs freely and peacefully.”
“The declaration is based on the importance of having a belief, as faith is the hope of humanity and the framework that defines the foundations of life and the ethics of coexistence between peoples.”
