Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA): Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today the Head of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on the occasion of International Customs Day.
This day is celebrated annually on January 26, which this year is celebrated under the theme “Nurturing the Next Generation: Fostering a Culture of Knowledge Sharing and Professional Pride in Customs”.
During the meeting, the Minister of Interior presented a copy of the quality assurance certificate obtained by Customs Affairs after passing international audit procedures as part of the keenness to enhance services in accordance with international standards.
The Minister of Interior congratulated the Head of Customs Affairs on the achievement, which reflects the level of outstanding performance and modern services.
He said that quality standards and modern technology meet the government’s inspiration and the economic vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030. He praised the efforts of the employees of Customs Affairs and their capabilities in using modern technology.
