stc Bahrain contributes 2,000 trees to Forever Green campaign

The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) received 2000 seedlings from stc Bahrain as a contribution from the global digital enabler for the Forever Green campaign.

The contribution also reinforces Bahrain’s environmental commitment to achieving climate goals by reaching zero carbon neutrality by 2060.

This generous contribution from stc Bahrain is an effective response to the national campaign “Green Forever” launched by the generous patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King, Chair of the Nyad Advisory Council.

It is also part of the “Trees for Life” campaign launched by stc Bahrain to promote national action to improve the environment in Bahrain by supporting increasing green spaces, protecting the environment and reducing the impact of gaseous emissions.

The generous contribution of stc included a large number of trees that add aesthetic splendor and natural beauty to different areas throughout the governorates of Bahrain and achieve the environmental and climatic goals of the plan developed by the National Institute for Agricultural Development (NIAD) for the first phase of the Forever Green campaign.

The tree-planting ceremony at Al-Manthal Women Association in Jaw in the Southern Governorate was attended by Sheikh Ziyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, Head of Government Affairs at stc, and NIAD Secretary General Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Head of Social Programs in the Southern Governorate. Mohamed Al-Faw, President of Al-Manthal Association, Lulwa Al-Rumaihi, Head of Public Relations at stc Jamal Al-Sayed, and Senior Analyst at stc Sarah Abdel Ghaffar.

Sheikh Ziyad stressed the importance of supporting national initiatives aimed at achieving common environmental goals.

“We at stc Bahrain are proud and proud to contribute to supporting all national initiatives and campaigns that are in the general national interest and achieve environmental goals, in support of the great efforts made by the Kingdom to reduce desertification and reduce temperatures and its impact of environmental pollution.”

This includes cooperation between the two national campaigns, the “Green Forever” campaign launched by Nyad and the “Trees for Life” campaign launched by stc Bahrain, to achieve their common goals by planting trees and shrubs in various regions of the Kingdom and expanding green spaces. And Sheikha Maram expressed her pride in this cooperation.

“Our cooperation is in line with the national goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain and achieves the supreme directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continued interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister,” she said.

It contributes to supporting the government’s efforts towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2060 by combining the endeavors of the various public, private and civil sectors under our common national responsibility towards Bahrain to maintain environmental balance and reduce climate repercussions on the Kingdom of Bahrain and the world. . “

stc Bahrain launched the “Trees for Life” campaign in cooperation with the Supreme Council for the Environment and under the supervision of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

The campaign comes within the efforts and strategies of the Council and the Ministry within the Council’s policies and the goals of sustainable development 2030.
