Speaker stresses legislative branch’s support to Bahrain’s development, democratic march

Manama, September 26 (BNA) The Speaker of the House of Representatives praised the democratic process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, affirming the legislative authority’s support for it over the past two decades.

She drew attention to the legislative and oversight achievements of the House of Representatives during the fifth legislative term, in cooperation with the Shura Council and the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives made the remarks while attending the annual staff meeting on the occasion of the conclusion of the fifth legislative term.

The meeting was organized by the General Secretariat of the Council at the Gulf Hotel, in the presence of a number of deputies. The employees of the General Secretariat who served between 5 and 20 years of service were honored in recognition of their efforts and contributions in supporting members of the House of Representatives during the fifth legislative term.
