The Amazon MENA team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building great products for our customers. SDE-II will be based in Amman, Jordan and must have software engineering experience including solving complex problems. SDE-II will:
Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high level of quality for all team deliverables
Writing high quality distributor system software
Working in a startup-like agile development environment, where you always work on the most important things.
Basic qualifications
5+ years of industry experience designing software engineering and operating scalable software systems
Oral and written communication skills (ability to produce operating manuals and technical and non-technical documents)
Experience in training junior software development engineers including code review and design review
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical disciplines

Ability to effectively formulate and drive solutions to meet technical and commercial challenges
– deal well with ambiguous / undefined problems; The ability to think abstractly
Experience working with product vision leadership to deliver long-term value to clients and advertisers
Willingness to own all phases of the development process: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and operational support
Excellent personal communication with strong verbal and written skills
