Social Development Minister visits behavioral development centers

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, inspected the Thinking, Behavior and Development Center for Children, and was briefed on its goals, programs and services, including evaluation, applied behavior analysis and school support. and parent training services.

The minister reviewed the academic support programs supervised by specialists and behavior analysts, and the cases benefiting from the center’s services.

He stressed the importance of providing accredited rehabilitation programs and services for people of determination, pointing out the ministry’s keenness to overcome all challenges within the framework of embodying community partnership between the government and private sectors.

The minister also inspected the REACH Center for Behavior and Development and was briefed on the programs offered by the centers, which focus on communication skills, occupational therapy and behavior modification.

Al-Asfoor praised the efforts made by the private institutions concerned with people of determination and their contributions to supporting the government’s efforts and enhancing rehabilitation services.

He pointed out the importance of adopting the best educational practices for people of determination to achieve qualitative results in accordance with international standards.
