Manama, November 1 (BNA): The General Secretariat of the Shura Council received a delegation from the US Congress.
The delegation was briefed on the legislative experience in Bahrain in light of democratic development and progress led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He also briefed the US delegation on the Kingdom’s keenness to promote a culture of dialogue, tolerance and religious coexistence, and to support the rights of women and youth.
The US Congress delegation stressed the importance of exchanging visits to familiarize themselves with the legislative process in Bahrain and the powers of the two chambers of parliament.
