Manama, May 3 (BNA): Shura Council Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al Khalifa praised the speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, which is being held this year under the slogan “Shaping a Future for Rights: Freedom of Expression as a Driver for All Other Human Rights.” .
The royal speech reflects the visions and aspirations of His Majesty the King, highlights the principles of freedom of opinion, and highlights the pivotal role of the media and the press in promoting human values.
In a statement, the Speaker of the Shura Council praised the royal speech, which emphasized the importance of confronting hate speech through concerted international efforts.
He praised His Majesty the King’s appreciation for the continuous cooperation between the legislative and executive branches of government, which would enhance freedom of expression and enhance the steps of journalism in Bahrain over more than eight decades.
He praised the constructive coordination and consultation with the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in order to promote development, progress and prosperity in Bahrain.
