Shura Chairman stresses support for SMEs

Manama, September 20 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, praised the great role played by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association in Bahrain in strengthening the national economy, and applauding its initiatives in supporting entrepreneurs. And keenness to embrace the ideas of young people, refine their talents and achieve their aspirations, by providing professional foundations for launching their projects and integrating them into the labor market and providing incubators that develop investment and economic partnerships.

This came during Al-Saleh’s speech when he received here today a member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association, Representative Ahmed Sabah Al-Salloum, and a number of members of the association’s board of directors.

He stressed the importance of partnership and exchange of views that contribute to making decisions that enable business and help develop an integrated work strategy, appreciating the programs and activities of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association.

Al-Saleh expressed the Shura Council’s keenness to support national laws and legislation that promote the entrepreneurship sector, and to consolidate institutional and regulatory frameworks that provide an economic environment capable of incubating and encouraging small and medium enterprises. The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association is adopting an ambitious strategy in line with the promising economic vision of the Kingdom 2030.

The President of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Association expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Speaker of the Shura Council for his continuous support, praising his support for providing opportunities for young entrepreneurs, and supporting legislation that motivates them to achieve the success of their projects.
