Manama, Apr. 14 (BNA): Shura Council Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh affirmed that the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar confirms the keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin. Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to strengthen brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples and to preserve the strength of Gulf ties.
The Speaker of the Shura Council praised the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to reach solutions that paved the way for the rapid resumption of diplomatic relations with the State of Qatar. He pointed to the role of the Saudi leadership and the tremendous efforts made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to preserve the strength of the Gulf Cooperation Council and maintain the strong relations between its member states.
The Speaker of the Shura Council indicated that the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar will enhance stability, security and regional cooperation.
