Cairo, February 21 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, met today with the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, on the sidelines of the Fourth Conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Parliaments, which was organized last February. 19 and attended by 21 presidents and representatives of Arab councils and parliaments.
The Speaker of the Shura Council praised the efforts of the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, praising the results and success of the Fourth Conference, which concluded its work in Cairo. He stressed the importance of these Arab parliamentary groupings in crystallizing unified positions and visions on various issues.
The Speaker of the Shura Council indicated that the conference, held at a time when Arab countries are facing many political, economic, health and security challenges. It expresses its keenness to continue cooperation between the Arab Parliament and the Gulf and Arab councils and parliaments to move forward in joint parliamentary work on various issues.
