Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam praised the role of youth as a pillar of development and a pillar of the future in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“Supporting youth and realizing their hopes and aspirations is a collective national responsibility,” he said in a statement on the occasion of Bahrain Youth Day, which falls on March 25.
The Speaker of Parliament praised the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for Bahraini youth assuming leadership positions covering all areas of development.
In the statement, he praised the active participation of youth within Team Bahrain, as well as their contributions to strengthening the status of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He also praised the efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, First Vice President of the Council, Chairman of the Public Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Sports and the Bahrain Olympics. His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Committee.
The Speaker of Parliament praised the role of state agencies, civil society institutions and the media in supporting the values of national belonging, citizenship and identity among young people.
He also referred to the success of the initiatives aimed at implementing the national plan “Bahrainiuna” led by Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
