• Lead and manage civil works for contractors including performance management, KPI evaluation, budgeting, operating cost management, etc.
• Ensure that the facilities effectively serve the needs of all stakeholders – residents, families, organisations, businesses, major developers, etc. in the city and provide them with high standard services
• Works with service providers to identify viable civil engineering solutions as required for maintenance/construction/rehabilitation.
• Review method statements and provide comments related to civil engineering
• Conduct periodic inspections to determine whether civil works have been carried out in accordance with contract specifications and client needs.
• Review relevant civil manuals and documents to ensure that they are fully prepared and contain all necessary information
• Review and provide input on planned civil maintenance activities for the managed properties to ensure that all necessary points are taken into account and that on-site equipment is well maintained.
• Provide technical advice to facilities management in order to support them in addressing specific civil issues.
• Implementation of maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule and supply of materials required to maintain assets in specified condition
• Conduct site testing for relevant civil issues, and fault detection activities to ensure property or site is well maintained.
• Manage civil repair work undertaken by contractors to ensure that all repair or maintenance tasks are carried out optimally with respect to time, quality and cost procedures.
• Review plans and budgets for civil activities to verify required costs/investments.
• Provides insights to facility management tenders related to requirements and associated costs.
• Check and advise on PPM schedule and maintenance frequency to balance quality and maintenance cost.
• Manage the acquisition of assets from different departments of the operation
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 6-8+ years experience and 4+ years progressive experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of real estate market dynamics in Qatar/GCC and the regulatory environment.
• Excellent technical abilities
• Sound understanding of facility management and key success factors
