The purpose and objectives
In this role, you will be part of the Business District Sales Control team supporting the market unit/cluster in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa. The main tasks are to implement financial forecasts, monitor performance and lead action plans as well as successive annual budgets. To successfully manage this assignment and to enhance our support for our stakeholders, we are looking for an observer with professional experience, preferably from work in an international company.
Expectations and tasks
Support month-end closing/quarter-end closing activities (eg, performing checks and analysis of revenue streams, SOX checking of software revenue, validation of expense posting)
Forecasting/Budgeting for Line of Business (LOB) sales with respect to headcount numbers, P&L etc. at MU level
– Interact and collaborate with stakeholders in MU
– Reporting of activities for different stakeholders (MU CFO, HR, Sales Operations)
Cooperating with specialized oversight teams on budgeting and forecasting issues
Support projects for standardization and harmonization of control processes and tools
Education and qualifications/skills and competencies
– University degree or equivalent with a focus in finance and control
– Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Comfortable in teamwork and independently showing great initiative
– Ability to prioritize tasks
Good knowledge of IT business models
Good time management with the ability to work under pressure and time pressure
– Fluency in spoken and written English
work experience
– At least two years of professional experience with a focus on control and accounting operations
