the opportunity

EY is looking for a Senior Consultant, IT/OT Convergence to join our rapidly expanding technology advisory team. The role will be based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) and will serve MENA clients both remotely and on-site across various locations mainly in the MENA and GCC region.

basic tasks

Serves as a major implementation resource in IT/OT Networking Infrastructure projects
Lead the delivery of complex strategic and/or transformational projects at scale with IT/OT convergence aspects following EY project management methodologies
Designing safe and effective transformational change that integrates operating technology and IT ecosystems, in multiple technical areas (Networks, Systems, and Security)
Conduct the assessment as is to identify and evaluate existing problems and challenges in the areas of IT and OT and define the target case while identifying priority implementations and roadmap
Ability to liaise with the IT/OT team and client business teams to understand business drivers, requirements, solution strategies and alternatives being considered and/or implemented
Determine the most appropriate IT-OT operating model and capabilities required for the client’s technical function, in line with their digital/technological aspirations, business and industry practices
Facilitate the ability to manage traffic between networks to provide reliable information to areas of operation.
Contribute to the advisory value proposition of IT/OT integration aspects
Design, prepare and lead workflows for a Project Management Office (PMO) or similar organizational governance structure that includes multiple related projects and/or initiatives within the IT/IoT/OT space
Solve business and technology issues through collaboration and teamwork.
Apply knowledge and experience to shape services to clients and deliver project deliverables

Customer Responsibilities

Acts as a direct point of contact for the client and team, talks to the client regularly about future trends, and begins to own and grow the company’s client-client relationship
Maintain open and proactive communication and build credibility based on understanding client issues and providing innovative solutions in the areas of convergence between IT and technology
Create and deliver presentations that engage a range of audiences and respond to their questions and concerns
Integrate data and apply judgment to generate actionable insights and address potential issues, taking advantage of opportunities and analyzes that enable critical stakeholders to make decisions
Sharing technical, sectoral and market knowledge to inform client thinking
Develop and manage plans for project teams, update stakeholders, and scale up
Develop relationships that can benefit our company and our customers (for example, with stakeholders in target organizations) and outside the workplace to enhance our presence and influence in society
– Identify and share trends, topics and resources (eg, professional bodies, market developments such as sector-specific trends, regulatory guidance) that will increase the relevance and value of our service delivery, and seize opportunities to grow knowledge in the areas of convergence between IT and technology

Technical skill requirements

4-5 years of experience working in a client-facing role for a leading consulting or professional services firm delivering large-scale complex technology projects with IT/OT convergence aspects or at least 4 years of experience working for a leading firm, in the delivery of technical projects In the field of IT/OT convergence
Excellent and demonstrated communication skills, verbal and written, presentation, customer service and technical writing skills
Have a proven track record of delivery on several large scale technology transformation projects in the area of ​​IT/OT convergence and their deployment models
Experience working on complex projects and programs
Understand the technologies (model assets, communication protocols, technical architectures) used by OT-ICS (SCADA/DCS/PLC/RTU) systems and networks
Prince2 or PMP certification or equivalent ideally.
Knowledge (or at least interest in learning) of security concepts typical of ICS/OT environments especially network architecture, segmentation, and defense in depth
– Full proficiency in the English language
Completed higher technical education in industrial automation, computer science, electronics, information technology, engineering or a related field.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Power Point)
