WSP is looking for a Facade Engineering Consultant to join our expanding team.

Your new role, what is your role?
* Facade systems design as a facade consultant in the project – taking the design at all stages – a typical concept of building documents.
* Liaise with the architect and other consultants (including those in my own team and other WSP disciplines) during these phases.
* Work independently, in the context of the above communication.
* Understand the features and capabilities of the people around me and know when to benefit from their experience.
* Strong experience in dealing with complex interfaces
*Considering the interface from a whole-building holistic approach, rather than a systems-based approach.
* Liaise with the architectural and construction teams but also with other technical and commercial disciplines during project delivery
* Obtain a technical understanding of relevant code standards, including CDM guidelines and English language standards.
* Ensure that health and safety are included in all work practices in line with company policies.
* Support and liaise with other specialist teams if and where required.
* Perform on-site reviews to support technical inspections.
* Auditing regarding the interface.
* Oversee contractor interface design with a practical level of involvement with excellent technical knowledge and depth.
* Provide technical design input to the contractor’s design.
* Carry out plant and site inspections to assess the quality and conformity of equipment provided by the facade contractor.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor’s degree holder, fully qualified professional with 15+ years of work experience, preferably with a recognized consultant in a similar role.
* Able to work independently and remotely from my core team.
* Able to build excellent relationships with clients through interdisciplinary communication and coordination skills.
