Our client is a leading construction company operating in Oman. After recently awarded a major renovation contract across multiple locations, they are preparing to enter an exciting phase of their expansion. To maintain their enviable reputation and to help ensure the effective implementation of these projects, they are looking to appoint a Head of Construction Department.
Role:
• Responsible for supervising all site operations.
• Monitor business progress and liaise with project managers and other senior site staff to identify potential problems and instigate measures to address them.
• Ensure that all works are carried out at the highest level.
• Suggest and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure that all sites have adequate resources to advance the business in a satisfactory manner.
• Oversee the company’s health and safety policy and ensure that all site activities comply with the highest safety standards.
• Represent the company in progress review meetings and ensure that the interests of the company are protected.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and consultants.
• Supervising the company’s labor camp to ensure the welfare of all workers residing in the camp.
• Submit reports to the company’s general manager on all operational issues.
salary:
4,500 to 5,000 OMR per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

requirements:
• At least 20 years of experience, of which at least 5 years are in a similar position
• Proven track record of managing several concurrent construction and renovation projects of different sizes (Small – Medium business), scope and geographical spread, in a prime location.
• Appropriately qualified and professional body member, preferably chartered
• Possess excellent customer-facing skills and this can be proven through recent experiences
• Has a proactive approach, can do it and is able to make it through people
• Previous work experience in Oman or the Middle East is desirable.
Salary offered is up to OMR 5,000 per month + discretionary bonus of up to 15%.
