SCH President praises accreditation of Primary Healthcare centres

Manama, November 7 (BNA) The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Lieutenant Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, praised the accreditation of primary health care centers at the national level to be the first government health system. in Bahrain to achieve this achievement.

This came after the National Regulatory Authority (NHRA) licensed all primary health care facilities after they successfully met the standards set during the inspection visits conducted in late 2021.

The Chairman of the Council praised the wise directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributed to the development of the health system in the country. The kingdom.

Dr. Maryam Al Jalahma, CEO of the authority, said that a team of experts conducted inspection visits to all primary health care facilities to ensure that they meet the specified requirements, which cover equal services, high performance, as well as compliance with regulations and standards related to patient safety, clinical performance, infection control, and management of Medications, continuity of care, risk management and other technical parameters.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of Primary Health Care Centers, Dr. Luluas Rashid Shwaiter, said that the accreditation adds to the rich record of primary health care centers in Bahrain, noting their success in obtaining the Canadian Accreditation Certificate (AC) for three consecutive cycles.
