Your role and responsibilities
As a Sales and Delivery Manager at GBS with solid experience in consulting, system integration, and overall digital transformation, you will support IBM’s continued growth by bringing your expertise in consulting, business development, account management, and delivery skills. If you are ready to offer ideas and expertise, we can offer you a unique opportunity to join our IBM Consulting firm. In this role, you will develop positive and trusted relationships with our public sector client C-Suite to advise and provide support throughout the digital transformation journey, cloud and applications journey, and strategize to lead the market with unusual and relevant knowledge, analytics and data solutions with the goal of being a consultant Trusted by our public sector clients. You will be responsible for building the pipeline, pushing deals to closing and being responsible for your account portfolio(s) including customer satisfaction, market share, profits and revenue. You will also demonstrate your industry reputation – speaking at events/conferences; Writing white papers.

In this role you will:
– Building, developing and managing relationships with clients. Responsible for customer satisfaction and maintaining a strong relationship with the customer through delivery excellence
Practitioners focus on diving into the impact of high ROI on business through practical innovations in weeks as well as the ability to partner with clients in a thoughtful, long-term game-changing transformation
– Project delivery chair in your accounts and responsible for their delivery performance indicators
Develops a strategy that puts offers and talent ahead of the market
Building growth in customer-facing solutions, by proposing key differentiators for IBM services, and designing contractual agreements with high ROI and resources
Announcement of negotiating the contract to close it
Lead large multidisciplinary teams in developing complex solutions to specific customer opportunities and in developing customer deliverables such as requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), statements of business (SOWs) or presentations
Head the delivery of projects for your account(s) as an account executive

At least 5 years of sales experience achieving growth in new business and revenue
At least 5 years of successful experience in business development backed by a proven track record of growing the account base
At least 5 years of experience in developing service proposals
At least 3 years of experience in customer relationship management, including executive offices
Proven experience in managing complex projects and budgets
At least 5 years of experience demonstrating knowledge of the government procurement process
At least 4 years of providing consultancy projects across industries
A proven track record of completing complex digital transformation services deals in the public sector
Previous experience in telecommunications and banking is an added advantage
