Manama, December 2 (BNA) At the invitation of Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, a Russian parliamentary delegation headed by the President of the Federal Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matvienko will arrive here on an official visit to the Kingdom from December 4-6.
The visit of the delegation of the Russian Federal Council to the Kingdom comes within the strategy of the House of Representatives to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy and discuss areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries. It will also provide an opportunity to shed light on the civilizational achievements of the Kingdom, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as it coincides with the Kingdom’s celebrations of its national holidays in mid-December.
During the visit, the House of Representatives and the delegation of the Russian Federation Council will hold official talks and sign memoranda of understanding to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The delegation’s visit also includes meetings with members of the Shura Council, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, and senior state officials. He also visits the Kingdom’s landmarks, national projects and cultural centers.
