Bahrain, Monaco sign MoU in regulating marine yachts

Monaco, October 18 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, met Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to His Highness Prince Albert II, and His Majesty’s wishes for further progress and prosperity for the country.

The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of developing and regulating ports and sea yachts.

The meeting discussed cooperation in various fields, especially in organizing ports and seaports to serve the movement of ships and yachts, contribute to the development of maritime transport, and highlight ways to create a digital window for yachts in support of the tourism sector in Bahrain.

His Highness stressed the importance of the memorandum of understanding in making the Kingdom a hub for ports and yachts, given the extensive experience of the Monaco Yachting Club in this field and supporting Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
