Manama, November 30 (BNA) Information Minister Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi praised the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in empowering Bahraini women. He pointed to the many achievements of Bahraini women at the regional and international levels, stressing their pivotal role as an active partner in the Kingdom’s sustainable and comprehensive development process.
The Minister of Information offered sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, which falls this year. The twentieth anniversary of the founding of the Supreme Council for Women and the adoption of the National Action Charter. He referred to the effective participation of Bahraini women in the national work thanks to the support of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also stressed the important role of the Supreme Council for Women in empowering Bahraini women and enabling them to assume senior positions in the executive, legislative, judicial, diplomatic and academic fields.
The Minister of Information praised the contribution of Bahraini women to the national work and the strengthening of the rule of law and institutions on the basis of justice, equal opportunities and gender equality. He also praised the role of Bahraini women in the media field and their support for cultural, academic and sports development. He also praised their presence on the front lines within the Bahraini task force to combat the Corona virus, considering them their honorable contributions at the regional and international levels in various fields.
