Royal Humanitarian Foundation opens charity market

Manama, Dec. 24 (BNA): The Royal Charity Organization announced the first charity market for the Bahrain Goods Project in Al-Liwan Complex in Hamala.


The charity event is being held under the patronage of His Majesty the King, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.


Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, Secretary General of Qatar Charity Foundation, opened the first edition of the charity market, with the participation of twenty families supported by the Foundation.


Dr. Al-Sayed praised the pivotal humanitarian role played by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of Hamad Medical Corporation, in supporting affiliated Bahraini families.


He praised the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


Dr. Al-Sayed also praised the pioneering role of His Highness Sheikh Nasser, pointing out that the exhibition is being held amid celebrations of the national holidays of the Kingdom of Bahrain.


The charity market is also part of plans to promote the Bahrain Good Project.


A group of Bahraini, Asian and international products were displayed at the charity exhibition, in addition to a variety of handicrafts made by widows and orphans, such as prayer rugs, bags, accessories and others.


Dr. Al-Sayed stressed the Foundation’s efforts in training and empowering the members of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation to produce various materials as part of the Bahrain Good Products project.

The charity was divided into three sections, the production of handicrafts by orphans and widows, and a set of meals, in addition to Netaj training, with the aim of forming trainees and enabling them to enter the labor market.


Dr. Al-Sayed affirmed the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s commitment to supporting productive families, strengthening community partnership, and providing spaces and opportunities for productive families to display their products.


He stressed the importance of enabling families to secure material income that contributes to their livelihood, pointing out that the first charitable market included many products, from clothes, handicrafts and gifts, in addition to foodstuffs, spices, Arabic coffee, and homemade products such as perfumes, incense, accessories, and product products.
