Labour Minister opens fifth Foulath Conference

Manama, June 4 (BNA): Labor Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan affirmed that the rapid global scientific and technological developments require more efforts in the field of occupational health and safety. He pointed to the necessity of creating a generation of competencies capable of keeping pace with changes and developing the occupational health and safety system.

This came during a speech by the Minister of Labor during his sponsorship today of the opening of the Fifth Foulath Conference on Occupational Health, Environment and Safety, which is organized by the Folat Group from June 4 to 8.

Under the title “Safety is Everyone’s Responsibility,” the company is organizing this event at its headquarters in Hidd Industrial City, in the presence of its CEO, Dilip George, and with the participation of institutions from Bahrain and abroad.

The conference highlights best practices for creating healthy and safe work environments. It also discusses the best contemporary studies in this regard.

The Minister of Labor drew attention to the Kingdom’s efforts to reduce occupational diseases and accidents, stressing their significant decrease from 2016 to 2022.

The CEO of Folat Group, Dilip George, praised the Ministry of Labor’s keenness to promote a culture of occupational health and safety. He highlighted the company’s efforts to promote and enforce occupational health and safety regulations.
