Tourism Minister receives stc Bahrain officials

Manama, Dec. 24 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sairafi stressed the importance of partnership with the private sector to develop the tourism sector and support its role in diversifying revenues and enhancing the gross domestic product in Manama. It is in line with Bahrain’s tourism strategy (2022-2026), which represents a key pillar of the national economic recovery plan.

The minister’s remarks came during her meeting with the CEO of the Saudi Telecom Company in Bahrain, Nizar Banabella, and the Executive Vice President for Government Affairs, Sheikh Ziyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa.

The CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, Dr. Nasser Ali Al Qaidel, also attended the meeting.

The minister was briefed on the company’s strategy and future vision, noting its role in developing the telecommunications and information technology sector and adopting digital solutions.
