RHF signs memo to provide relief aid to quake-hit areas in Turkiye

Ankara, March 19 (BNA): In implementation of the noble directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to provide humanitarian aid to counter the repercussions of the earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey, Secretary General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF). Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, CEO of the National Committee for Supporting Earthquake Victims in Syria and Turkey, signed a memorandum of understanding with the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Turkey. The signing of the memorandum was attended at the Commission’s headquarters in Ankara, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Turkey, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Abdullah, and Khalid Khalifa, Senior Adviser to the High Commissioner and Representative of the Commission in the GCC countries.

Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his directives to support the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey. He also praised the great support provided by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He praised the leadership of His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, at the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in implementing many initiatives to support the earthquake victims.

The representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Turkey praised the royal support, praising the humanitarian initiative. He said that under the memorandum, Bahrain will support the most urgent needs in the earthquake-hit areas of Turkey and provide relief aid to the victims.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Turkey praised the royal directives, which come within the framework of His Majesty’s efforts to support brotherly and friendly peoples in various humanitarian circumstances. He also praised the support of the government led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the initiatives of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to implement the royal directives.
