Registration open for settlement of sportspeople’s outstanding dues

Manama, May 30 / BNA / In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Public Sports Authority has opened the door for registration to settle the unpaid dues of athletes with clubs, associations and national federations after the end of Sports season 2021/2022.

This step comes at a time when the General Sports Authority aims to measure the level of commitment of sports institutions in the Kingdom to the obligations of all athletes and workers under their umbrella.

The General Sports Authority also affirmed its keenness to implement all the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which aim to promote Bahraini sports and maintain healthy accounts in all sports entities, noting His Highness’ initiative to honor the twenty clubs that were able to fulfill all their financial obligations.

It should be noted that, based on the process of enumerating the dues, appropriate solutions will be studied in the event that some parties do not fulfill their obligations, as the General Sports Authority will issue a circular in this regard, including the controls that will do so. Ensure that these accumulations are not repeated in the coming years.

The General Sports Authority indicated the need to adhere to the standard contract model approved by the authority in all contracts concluded by clubs, associations and federations, which aim to protect the rights of all parties and contribute to ending the accumulation of debts. on sports institutions in the Kingdom.
