Reformation and Rehabilitation Directorate organises Quran competition for inmates

Manama, Apr. 19 (BNA): The General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation organized a Ramadan Quranic competition for inmates, based on the directives of the Minister of Interior, Major General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

The competition attracted a large number of guests, some of whom were part of the jury for their skills in memorizing the Qur’an. Prize winners were honored. They thanked the Directorate for organizing religious and cultural competitions to enhance the knowledge of the inmates.

Meanwhile, 156 inmates participated in the 27th Bahrain Grand Quran Competition, 11 of whom were honored during the closing ceremony of the event.

The Directorate assisted the inmates in removing any obstacles they faced that would prevent them from participating. Religious sessions were held to answer the inquiries of the participating inmates.
