Razji seedlings planted in memory of fallen servicemen

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): The Governor of the Southern Region, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, witnessed the planting of jasmine sambac (Razji) seedlings in Khalifa Al-Kubra Park in the Southern Governorate.

Minister of Municipal Affairs Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Director of the Royal Fund for the Dead, Sheikh Khalid bin Salman bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development, and Her Highness Sheikha Maram Bint. Isa Al Khalifa, and senior officials were also present.

The initiative was launched in collaboration between the Royal Fallen Soldiers Fund, NIAD and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, with the participation of the sons of fallen soldiers.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali affirmed the Southern Governorate’s keenness to hold various social events and initiatives in cooperation and coordination with the competent authorities, noting that the initiative to plant “Razji” seedlings, in which the sons of the late soldiers participated, came in appreciation of the dedication, sacrifices and memory of the fallen soldiers. He stressed that the initiative contributes to strengthening the principle of community partnership, as well as the values ​​of belonging to the homeland and citizenship.

The blessed minister affirmed that the initiative aims to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland, stressing the importance of the noble move that embodies the memory of these heroes. He also expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Royal Fund for Military Dead for this kind initiative that filled the hearts of the departed soldiers’ families with joy.

The director of the Royal Fund for Military Dead confirmed that the initiative is a token of gratitude to the departed soldiers, noting that it reflects the appreciation of all social segments for them for the sacrifices they made while defending the homeland. His Highness the Governor of the South and all relevant authorities also praised their support for these noble initiatives.

Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa affirmed that the initiative launched by the Royal Fund for Military Dead is a token of appreciation for the departed soldiers who lost their lives while defending the homeland, stressing that their sacrifices will always remain engraved in the national memory.

She added that the involvement of the sons of the fallen soldiers in this noble initiative by planting Al-Raziji seedlings in the various governorates of Bahrain is an ideal opportunity to instill national values ​​and spread environmental awareness in order to consolidate belonging to the homeland.

During the event, a number of fallen soldiers’ children and officials planted razji seedlings in honor of the country’s latte soldiers’ sacrifices.

Souvenirs were also given to the children of the departed soldiers.
