Queen Elizabeth spends night in hospital, says Buckingham Palace

London, Oct. 22 (BNA): Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II spent Wednesday night in hospital for “preliminary inquiries” after her visit to Northern Ireland was canceled, Buckingham Palace in London confirmed.

The 95-year-old has canceled the trip scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday to rest for a few days at Windsor Castle. German news agency dpa said the king returned to Windsor Castle at lunchtime on Thursday.

The Palestinian News Agency Media reported late on Thursday that specialists had seen the Queen at the King Edward VII Private Hospital in central London.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “After medical advice to rest for a few days, the Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations and is back at Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, still in good spirits.”

The Queen had a busy program and hosted a global investment summit at Windsor Castle on Tuesday night, where she was said to have appeared elated as she carried out her royal duties.
