Your role and responsibilities
Brand technical specialists are technical advisors to customers, IBM sales teams, and business partners. They understand the client’s business and technical requirements, and the competitive landscape. They provide technical sales support which may include: Collaborating with IBM sales teams to define, design and design server solutions and feasibility of proposed solutions: Develop and deliver proof of concept and competitive insights; Technical presentations and education. ensuring the technical accuracy of the proposed solution; customization, installation, integration and/or implementation of solutions; Plan and lead business development activities, onboarding and advancement opportunities; contribute to intellectual assets; maintain technical and professional skills; And act as a trusted advisor to clients during technical discussions. They build relationships with key technical decision makers for clients and influencers within an opportunity-driven model. They understand the customer’s technical strategy, challenges, and how IBM solutions can help them achieve success in their business. They are responsible for satisfying the customer with the proposed and presented IBM offerings.

Leadership

– Lead customer interactions with key presentations and sales plays
Lead business development activities to identify new opportunities and expand business with existing clients
Identify a divergent viewpoint. Develop the technical and strategic agenda with the client

Technical and professional experience required

At least 3 years of experience in technical sales offerings for Power Systems, AIX, IBM i, Linux, Hybrid Cloud, and AI offerings
Good understanding of competitive landscapes
