Physical Strength competition launched

Manama, March 23 (BNA) The physical strength competitions started today, Wednesday, as part of the activities of the 2022 Strength Week, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.


The event, which is organized by KHK Sports in cooperation with the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation (BWF) from March 21 to 26 in the arena adjacent to the Avenues Mall, is part of His Highness’ sports initiatives.


Commenting on this, the President of the International Football Association, Ishaq Ibrahim Ishaq, praised the distinguished efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to enhance the Kingdom’s position in the international sports arenas by launching initiatives that promote athletics and enhance Bahrain’s position as a destination for hosting and organizing various competitions.


He also praised His Highness’ initiatives that seek to advance sports by developing athletes and motivating them to unleash their talents and potentials, through which national teams can be formed to represent and honor the Kingdom in international forums.


The President stressed that the Federation is proud to renew its partnership with HKH Sport to organize the 2022 Power Week after the success of last year amid the exceptional circumstances imposed by the pandemic.


He stressed that the federation made all efforts to support the organizing committee for the success of this year’s event, in the CrossFit, powerlifting and powerlifting championships in this edition.


The organizing committee affirmed its keenness to implement His Highness’ directives to achieve the highest rates of success in this event, which reflects His Highness’ aspirations, stressing its quest to create the ideal atmosphere for the contestants to offer their best.
