Participating works in 11th e-Government Excellence Award evaluated

Manama, October 16 (BNA) The award jury has completed its evaluation of the works submitted for the eGovernment Excellence Award 2021.

The award is held in its eleventh edition under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Information and Communications Technology, and accepts applications from the public and private sectors. sector and individuals. The winners are expected to be revealed soon.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the e-Government Excellence Award, Abdullah Habib, said that the evaluation was carried out by a group of national and international experts who were selected for their relevant qualifications and experience. The jury’s backgrounds cover digital transformation, technology community management, economic and investment consulting, market entry, internal auditing, innovation and creativity, among others.

He stated that the judging panel consists of eight members, chaired by CEO, Nimbus Davy, co-founder, Global Blockchain Organization, and co-founder, Echo Jorge Sebastião, a prominent figure in the regional technology industry.

Other members include the Acting Vice President of the University of Bahrain for Information Technology Services, Administrative and Financial Affairs and the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Baqer, representing the academics. Director of the Business Incubator Center at the University of Bahrain, and Board Member of the Bahrain Branch, Dr. Esraa Ahmed Wali, representing Academics and IT Governance.

The judging panel also included the Vice President of Smart Way Consulting and Board Member of the Bahrain Internet Society, Dana Al Rayes, representing the NGOs.
