Manama, June 29 (BNA): Celebrating the International Parliament Day, which falls on June 30, the date on which the Inter-Parliamentary Union was founded in 1889 and approved by the United Nations General Assembly in 2018, the Minister of Parliament Affairs. Ghanem bin Fadel Al Buainain congratulated the members of the Shura and Representatives Councils. He said that this event is an international recognition of the key role Parliament plays in development and modernization.
He added that Bahrain’s democratic march, which was launched from the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has achieved many national achievements. He also praised the effective cooperation between the executive authority led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the legislative authority, wishing Bahrain further growth and prosperity.
