On behalf of HM the King, the Deputy Prime Minister attends BSE Golden Jubilee celebration

Manama, March 15 (BNA) The Bahrain Society of Engineers hosted today a ceremony marking its golden jubilee at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.


On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended the ceremony, which was held under the slogan “Fifty Years of Excellence and Dedication”.


The Deputy Prime Minister extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for sponsoring the ceremony, and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King to the Chairman and members of the Council and all the engineers on this occasion.


He praised the government’s support, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for volunteer work and NGOs, including the Bahrain Society of Engineers.


He congratulated the Chairman and members of the BSE Board of Directors for honoring its founders and successive presidents since its inception in 1972, praising their contributions to the engineering profession.


The ceremony was also attended by a number of ministers, directors and presidents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Arab and international engineering federations, and representatives of industrial and professional establishments.


The Vice Premier honored the BSE Award winners as well as the Best Monument Design Award winners. BSE founders, former presidents, eminent personalities, ministers, government bodies, board members and associates were also honored.


The Deputy Prime Minister also inaugurated an exhibition entitled “Bright Contracts” that will continue until 17 March, displaying rare photos and publications documenting the history of engineering in Bahrain.
