Manama, December 18 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, attended on behalf of the Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. The final of the National Day Paddon Championship 2021, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman, at the Badel Club.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman stressed that Bahraini youth constantly prove their superiority in various sports, and their commitment to developing and refining their skills to achieve success at all levels. His Highness noted the support provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for athletes in the Kingdom.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to creating opportunities for Bahraini athletes to enhance their talents to contribute to the Kingdom’s sporting achievements.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman also highlighted the interest of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman in supporting such events and tournaments that contribute to the development of sports in the Kingdom.

The National Padel Day Championships concluded today, after the participation of 100 teams and more than 200 individuals who competed across seven different divisions.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman attended the final match of the first division, which brought together Rashid Al-Obaidli, Luis Diego, Omar Mohammed and Abdullah Mohammed.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman, in his capacity as the tournament’s deputy sponsor, honored the tournament’s sponsors, including the platinum sponsor Dilmunia Bahrain, the golden sponsor Naseej and Ibrahim Kanoo companies, the bronze sponsor Ali Rashid Al-Amin Group and Dr. Tariq Hospital.

His Highness also honored the tournament’s media partner, Bahrain Sports News (BSN), the tournament judges, the organizing committee, and the East Riffa Center for High Performance.

In the first division, the winners were Omar Mohammed and Abdullah Mohammed, while the runner-up was Rashid Al-Obaidli and Luis Diego. In the second place, Hisham Malallah and Ali Baba won, while the runners-up Sheikh Khalid bin Salman Al Khalifa and Abdul Latif Al-Maraghi. In the third class, Mahmoud Al-Rai and Abdullah Al-Hajji won, while Mohammed Al-Mir and Abdullah Bu Alai came in second.

As for the women’s category, Noura Khaled and Zina Khaled won the second place, and Maryam Al-Emadi and Zayor Aranza were the runners-up. In the mixed doubles category, the team won by Khaled Al-Thawadi and Sandra Le Grange, while Abdullah Mohammed and Maryam Al-Emadi were runners-up.

In the over-45 section, the winners were Sattam Al-Gosaibi and Hisham Malallah, runners-up Kamal Khanji and Nader Abdel-Al, and in the under-16 category the winners were Muhammad Al-Shihabi and Youssef Al-Shihabi, while the runners-up were Faisal Masih and Faris Omar. .

The tournament was held on the occasion of the Kingdom’s National Day, to commemorate the establishment of the modern Bahraini state founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.

His Highness praised the spirit of sportsmanship and enthusiasm shown by all players in the various departments and the contribution of the supporting bodies. His Highness praised the efforts of the organizing committee, which resulted in attracting a large number of teams, players and fans who were keen to attend the championship activities for a whole week.
