NVTC’s Board of Directors convenes

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nasser Center for Vocational Training, presented his sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the glorious national holidays of the Kingdom.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser also expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the government’s continuous support to the National Vocational Training Center (NVTC) in order to enable it to achieve its goals of qualifying Bahraini youth and providing them with support. They have the necessary professional skills that qualify them to enter the labor market.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser made these remarks on the occasion of the NVTC Board of Trustees meeting.

During the meeting, the committee also congratulated the CEO of the center, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, on the success of the center in obtaining prestigious international awards.

The Council also praised the tremendous efforts made by the academic and administrative staff at the National Vocational Training Center (NVTC) to enhance the Kingdom’s position in the field of technical and vocational education, in light of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Rashid to promote the culture of vocational and industrial education to keep pace with development. The latest scientific trends in accordance with international standards.

The Board of Trustees also reviewed the items on its agenda, including areas of cooperation with various entities, and memorandums of understanding signed in this regard. The council also discussed the general policies of the National Center for Vocational Training related to human and financial resources and the administration’s achievements in localizing expertise and competencies and supporting the advancement of Bahraini women by enabling them to assume managerial and leadership positions.

He also discussed the initiatives aimed at transforming NVTC into a scientific city from which young talents are equipped with the skills and sciences of the future graduate.

The committee expressed its pride in the achievements of the National Center for Technology and Training during this year, including activities and events aimed at enhancing the capabilities of national cadres through training and educational programmes.
