Speaker receives Shura Council Chairman

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam praised the relentless efforts made by the legislative authority to embody the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to promote democracy and development. March and achieve the aspirations of the Bahraini people.

He was speaking during his meeting today with the Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh. He congratulated him on the royal confidence bestowed on him by appointing him as the Speaker of the Shura Council.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives during the sixth legislative term. The joint work in the next stage was also reviewed.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives praised the long and rich legislative experience of the Speaker of the Shura Council, stressing that his presidency of the Shura Council during the previous legislative periods represents an essential tributary of the national parliamentary and democratic process.

The Speaker of the Shura Council expressed his sincere thanks to the Speaker of the Council of Representatives for the meeting, congratulating him on the confidence that members of the Council of Representatives gave him by electing him as Speaker of the Council during the sixth legislative term. He wished him all success, stressing his full readiness for joint work to serve the country and the citizen.
