Manama, June 20 (BNA): The Oil and Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding) received the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), the Gulf Petrochemical Company (GPIC) and Tatweer Petroleum Company, a delegation of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister, Head of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, Vice-President of Turkmengas Corporation for State Affairs, Vice-President of the State-owned Turkmen Company (Turkmenhimia), and a member of the Board of Directors. Directors of the Pipelines Company Ltd., and Head of the Middle East and Africa Department of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Senior executives of the nogaholding group hailed the growth of bilateral relations after the historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Turkmenistan.

They stressed the keenness of the energy industry in Bahrain to expand its commercial operations across borders through strategic investments and economic partnerships, according to the vision of His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and CEO, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin. The two parties discussed the possibility of cooperation and the opportunities available to enhance economic and investment activity in the two countries.

The Turkmen delegation praised the great development witnessed by the energy sector in the Kingdom, and affirmed its readiness to implement joint projects, and to strengthen commercial partnerships in Turkmenistan as a result of the country’s abundant industrial resources and investment-friendly facilities.
