JWD holds annual meeting of Ashoora season

Manama, July 11 (BNA): The Jaafari Endowments Directorate held its annual meeting for the mosques (religious community centers) in all governorates, in preparation for the Ashura season.

The meeting was attended by 300 representatives of bed and breakfast departments, coordinators of Husseiniya processions, and representatives of official authorities.

Issa Sami Al-Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Walid Khalifa Al-Manea, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Major General Dr. Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security, and Ali Sheikh Abdul Hussein Al-Asfoor, Governor of the North. They were present at the meeting.

Yusuf bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Jaafari Endowment, praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for supporting religious rituals, including the Ashura season.

He also praised the support of the Kingdom’s institutions to commemorate this annual occasion in the best possible way.

Al-Saleh affirmed that the royal directives in support of religious rituals have established a consistent approach and framework, indicating that Bahrain’s Ashura is unique due to the partnership between the official authorities, organizers and members of Bahraini society.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors praised the support and follow-up of Major General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in maintaining security and stability.

He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, noting the follow-up of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, in meeting their needs. Al-Saleh praised the efforts of the Ministry of Health, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, the Ministry of Works, the Electricity and Water Authority and all government agencies.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice said that the ministry supports the efforts of the JWD Foundation in cooperation with all official and community agencies and the funeral supervisors, especially in preparing for the Ashura season.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health affirmed that the ministry values ​​the social commitment and social responsibility of the Bahraini society over the past year, stressing the ministry’s keenness to provide the necessary support for another successful Ashura season.

He added that the Ashura season was an appropriate platform for spreading health awareness, expressing interest in spreading awareness about the ministry’s genome project and the organ donation program during this season. He also pointed out the importance of blood donation campaigns that are held throughout the year, which help to replenish the supplies of the blood bank.

The Governor of the North stressed the importance of following up the service and security needs for the upcoming Ashura season. He reviewed the governorate’s preparations and initiatives for this year’s season, including cooperation with the Paramedic Academy.

The Deputy Chief of Public Security affirmed the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to revive this occasion in a safe and sound manner, and to continue building on previous successes.

He stressed the importance of community partnership in maintaining order and implementing the law, noting Bahrain’s keenness to support everyone’s freedom to practice religious rites.
