Manama, July 11 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a telegram of thanks from His Holiness Pope Francis of the Vatican in response to His Majesty the King’s message in which he praised the results of the first meeting of the Standing Committee for Islamic-Christian Dialogue, which brings together the Council of Muslim Elders and the Vatican.
In the speech, His Majesty the King expressed his thanks to His Holiness Pope Francis for appointing an Apostolic Vicar for the North of the Arabian Peninsula, residing in Bahrain.
His Holiness Pope Francis expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad for his charitable efforts and noble humanitarian initiatives for the benefit of all humanity.
His Holiness also recalled the successful historic visit he paid to the Kingdom last year, which contributed to strengthening close cooperation relations with the Vatican and consolidating the values of tolerance, brotherhood, love, peace and human coexistence.
His Holiness the Pope wished His Majesty the King good health and happiness and the people of Bahrain continued prosperity, progress and prosperity.
